Job description
Sign InstallerFASTSIGNS of Erie is looking for an addition to our talented team of sign makers to assist in our workload of signage installations.The Sign Installer performs pre-wiring, installation, programming, and maintenance of signs for existing and new clients. He or she will install signs of all sizes and mediums on poles, buildings, billboards, and other structures using a wide range of tools. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-motivated team player who can work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and who is determined to provide outstanding service to our customers. Basic electrical/wiring knowledge is required, and previous installation experience is a plus. Candidates must be committed to safety and must have the physical ability to perform the requirements of the job.ResponsibilitiesConfirms signs accurately conform to the work order (i.e., spelling, medium, size, etc.)Loads and transports signs to installation locationPrepares worksite by removing previous signage, preparing surfaces, and ensuring all electrical sources are in order (if applicable)Follows all safety policies and procedures during preparation and installationInstalls signs in strict compliance with the work orderDrives and operates bucket truck safelyCleans installation site when work is completeOccasional travel and overnight projects may be requiredPerforms a quality control review and reports findings to supervisorCompletes any reports or logsWork closely with Project Manager to accomplish work as scheduled before deadlinesPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrevious sign installation experience preferredBasic electrical/wiring knowledgeSafety and customer service orientedAbility to install vinyl graphics on flat surfacesHighly professional and dependableHighly organized with strong attention to detailBasic computer and Microsoft Office skillsMust have a professional set of hand toolsMust be physically able to perform sign installations, which includes lifting, climbing, and working at heights greater than 10 feetUnrestricted driver's license and clean driving recordAny needed skills that a candidate is not currently skilled in can be taught through on the job training. If installer is not trained to install vinyl graphics, training will be provided.
