Job description
Sign Language Interpreter (Part-time) - 30-week assignment in or near New Oxford, PA. Provide in-person ASL interpretation during school hours, collaborating with students and staff to ensure accessibility. Competitive pay and benefits support your professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-person ASL interpretation during academic programming at New Oxford High School
Collaborate with students, teachers, and staff to facilitate effective communication
Use expertise to ensure accessibility and inclusion for all students
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and standards
Support students with ASL interpretation during regular school hours, primarily on Mondays and Fridays or any two days as agreed
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
EIPA 3.5 or higher
Minimum 1 year interpreting experience in a school setting
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
Must provide in-person interpretation support during school hours (8:00 am - 3:30 pm)
Reliable transportation for commuting to New Oxford High School
Strong communication skills
Ability to work with students and staff
Flexibility to work on Mondays and Fridays or any two days preferred
