Safety And Security OfficerAs a Safety and Security Officer for Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO you will have the chance to interact with thousands of guests each day, ensuring their safety as they enjoy the 1880s themed rides and attractions. You may also assist in maintaining the safety of cash handling facilities, inspect buildings/structures, and provide EMS assistance as needed. These are just a few of the important duties that our Officers perform to create a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.This is a Per Requested Need Seasonal Safety & Security Officer III position.This position starts now and ends 1/2/2027.Must be at least 18 years of age.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide appropriate response to operating needs of our customersIdentify and initiate immediate corrective actions to deviations in safety and security complianceProvide support to ensure safe operation of cash handling facilitiesTake ownership of all sector related incidents by responding immediately to take corrective actionsAudit/inspect buildings and structures for fire hazards and other loss producing conditionsAudit/inspect/maintain all Park fire protection equipment and systemsProvide EMS assistance as neededConduct business in a professional manner consistent with our culture, beliefs, and valuesProvide and participate in technical skill developmentDevelop and maintain effective channels of communicationDevelop and maintain positive inter-divisional working relationshipsProvide the appropriate response in the event the property is faced with an active shooter incidentDevelop and maintain firearms response protocolsAudit and schedule firearms care and trainingMust be comfortable working in all weather conditionsPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Must pass a background check.Knowledge and understanding of State and Federal regulationsProficiency in fire preventionProficiency in security proceduresProficiency in accident preventionProficiency in verbal and written communicationProficiency in exercising sound independent judgmentProficiency in use of safety/security equipment to include radios, cell phones and computers.Ability to learn, understand and apply new techniquesFirearms safety and handling procedures.Maintain a level of fitness that would allow for a rapid response to an act of aggression on the property.Education and Experience:State certified EMS 1 st responder preferredHigh School diploma or equivalentValid Class E Missouri drivers license or resident state equivalentState POST certified or related certification.Armed shooter firearms training and qualification.Law Enforcement tactical training.Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.Benefits Offered:Free Admission - Free admission to Silver Dollar City Attractions and discounted admissions to Herschend Enterprises' attractions and resorts across the US for you and your dependents.Exclusive Admission Discounts - Complimentary tickets & discounts on season passes for loved ones.Food & Merchandise Discounts - Discounts on dining, drinks and merchandise across Silver Dollar City Attractions.401(k) & Profit Sharing - The Profit Sharing and 401(k) Retirement Plan is available to hosts after they have been with the Company for 3 months (Monthly Plan Entry Dates).Health Insurance - Affordable health plan options (co-pay, HSA, FSA) available to all full-time seasonal and year-round employees.Mary's Well House - Employee health center provides employees with basic office visits, x-rays and lab work for a co-pay, whether insured or not.Free Tuition – Earn your degree, debt-free. 100% free tuition starting day one of employment.
