Simulation Engineer – San Francisco, CA (On-Site)

Founded Aug 2024 with $5.9M pre-seed from top-tier investors, our client is developing autonomous, AI-powered defense systems to protect military assets and critical infrastructure from drone attacks. Their flagship product is a fast, distributed air defense solution capable of defeating multiple jam-resistant enemy drones - built for frontline deployment.
Role: Maintain and improve the simulation pipeline for robotic systems. Game engine expertise is essential - this is full-stack simulation, not just visuals.

Base pay range
$140,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr
You bring
Proficiency in C++ & Unreal Engine
Experience with real-time constraints & Sim2Real workflows
Bonus: UAV, ML, robotics, or multi-engine game dev experience
Day-to-day
Build & test UAV/robotics simulation tools
Develop internal engineering tools
Assist with deployments & field tests (some travel)
