Job description
Single Hand WelderWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Single Hand Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and capable of passing a 6G welding test. This position requires expertise in welding pipes in all positions and ensuring high-quality, structurally sound welds.Requirements:Must pass a 6G SMAW welding test prior to employmentMinimum 3 years of welding experience (pipe welding preferred)Proficiency in welding techniques, including stick welding (SMAW). (TGAW would be a plus).Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbolsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityMust have or be willing to test for necessary welding certifications as requiredAbility to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions if requiredJob Responsibilities:Perform SMAW welding on various materials, primarily carbon pipe welding in the 6G position. Stainless Steel TGAW would be a plus.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding proceduresEnsure compliance with industry safety standards and company policiesInspect and test welds to maintain quality controlOperate welding and cutting equipment safely and effectivelyWork in a variety of environments, including cold weather, confined spaces or elevated positions.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.Knowledge & Skill:Previous experience in an industrial, construction, or manufacturing settingAdditional certifications in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, or FCAW welding processesKnowledge of safety regulations and welding codes (e.g., AWS, ASME)$38 - $42 an hour Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 – 3:30 with option for overtime
