HDR Engineering is currently seeking aCivil/Senior Site Civil Engineer to join one of the largest, fastest growing, and comprehensive TMT (Tech, Media and Telecom) practices in the industry

Opportunities are available in these preferred locations: Atlanta, Austin, Bellevue, Charlotte, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Newark, New York, Omaha, Orlando, Pennington, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Sacramento/Folsom, San Antonio, Walnut Creek.

This person will be part of an integrated team responsible for the design of facility related sites in support of Data Center and other Mission Critical buildings and infrastructure. They will be expected to coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration. Experience in site development and the design of building related site civil (grading, utilities, storm drainage, stormwater management, and erosion control) is preferred. This individual should be self-motivated, collaborative and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound civil site designs.

Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Civil/Senior Civil Engineer , we'll count on you to:

Conduct early project development activities including site selection, due diligence, and site planning

Design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of mission critical projects, including site layouts, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activities

Conduct quantity calculations

Conduct permitting submittals to local authorities having jurisdiction

Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures

Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity as needed

Plan and develop projects or design activities that have significant impact on major company programs as needed

Plan, organize and supervise work of a medium to large staff of professionals and technicians as needed

Oversee work of other professionals and technicians as needed

Prepare/Review civil engineering scope of work and budgets/estimates for proposals as needed

Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Strong operating knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu

Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired

Licensed as a professional engineer (PE)

Demonstrated experience in working with multi-disciplined teams of Architects, Engineers, and Designers

Preference given to local candidates

Required Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.

Demonstrated leadership and communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Good verbal and written communication skills
