Job description
JoinHHICorporation,aleaderintheconstructionindustry,asaConstructionSiteSafetyHealthOfficer(SSHO).Thisroleofferstheopportunitytoworkondiverseprojectsupto$50million,ensuringqualityandcompliancewithOSHA,federal,state,andcompanypolicies.HHICorporationiscommittedtoexcellenceandinnovation,providingasupportiveenvironmentforprofessionalgrowth.
MAINDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES
Conductsitewalksandinspectionstoidentifyandrectifyhazardsorsafetyviolations.
Createandenforcesafetyplansoutliningthescopeandmandatedrequirementswhileoperatingonthesite.
BethesafetyrepresentativeonsitefortheOwnerworkingwiththePMandSuperintendenttoensureasafeworkingenvironment.
Relayonsiteconditionsandconcernstothecorporatesafetyoffice.
Teachorfacilitatetraininginvariousareasthatarerequiredforeachproject.
ConductmishapinvestigationsandreportingprocedurestoHHIandgovernmententities.
Prepareandreportanyplansordocumentationrequiredforeachsite.
Beabletoresearch,interpret,andimplementvariousregulationsandrequirements.
Canidentifyhazardsandfindinnovativesolutionswhilenotnegativelyimpactingoperations.
LeadonsitejobtrainingsasneededandholddailyActivityHazardAnalysismeetings.
KEYWORKINGRELATIONSHIPS
Mustbeabletoworkwithgovernmentandnon-governmentpersonnelinaprofessionalandclearmanner.Beabletoworkwithdifferenttradesandconstructionfocusestoensureasafeenvironmentwithoutlimitingthetradesabilitytocompletework.MustbeabletoproperlycommunicateoverthephoneandinwritingtouppermanagementtoincludeSubcontractors,Suppliers,OnsiteStaff,Owners,PM’s,Superintendents,andCorporateSafetyDirector.
Qualifications
OSHA30(orbeabletocompletewithin1monthofhiring)
Knowledgeinthefollowingareas:ConfinedSpace,FallProtection,Excavation,Scaffolding,andHEC
ComputerskillsinMicrosoftOfficeandonlinedatabases
Mustpassgovernmentsecurityclearancestandards
Mustpasspre-employmentdrugscreentestifhired
Gooddrivingrecord,validlicense-insurablethroughthecompany
Beabletostandforseveralhoursatatime
Notafraidofheights
Beabletoworkbothindoorsandoutdoors
Canclearlycommunicateinperson,written,andelectronically
Minimum5yearsofsafetyexperience
Mustbeabletolift50lbs.

USACE40-hourcourse
