Overview
Job Summary
Provides one-on-one observation of a designated patient. Sitters are under the supervision of the registered nurse and should notify them of any patient needs. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Performs direct observation as assigned under the direction of licensed nursing personel.
Provides for patient safety.
Participates in ongoing educational activities.
Completes assigned goals.

Minimum Required
Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
Special Skills
Minimum Required
Ability to sit and directly observe hospital patients.
