Job Posting TitleSizing Die SetterJob Description Summary:Installs tooling, adapters, pickoffs, and other automation in sizing presses. Sets press timing and ejection rates to meet process specification.Job Description:Follows safe operating proceduresMaintain 7S standardsPerforms Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities as the need arisesReview and follows quality, process and operator instructionsPerform quality checks as the need arises and accurately records using Plexus or required methodIdentifies, contains and generates Discrepant Material Report (DMR) for any non-conforming material and forwards to the Material Review Board (MRB)Communicates with co-workers from the previous and following shifts to discuss problems and concernsInsures operation runs at required production rate. Notifies Team Leader or equivalent when this does not occurAccurately reports production and scrap using Factivity or required methodActively participates in continuous improvement activitiesInstalls new setup following procedure for different partsStarts machine and inspects workSets up feeder equipmentDumps parts into hopper using barrel hoistRemoves, cleans and returns completed tools and adapters to tool cribAdjust presses during operation as neededOperates sizing equipment as required, e.g. weekends/lunches/shortage of labor due to call-offs and excessive absenteeismCompletes other tasks within job classification as assignedAssists other employees as advised by the Team Leader and/or SupervisorRequired Skills and Education:EDUCATION:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)EXPERIENCE:Knowledge of safe workplace practicesTS-16949 Quality Systems RequirementsISO-14001 Environmental Management SystemsControl PlansLock-out Tag-outProblem SolvingAbout Dauch:Dauch Corporation is a premier Driveline and Metal Forming supplier serving the global automotive industry with a powertrain-agnostic product portfolio that supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles.
