It is more than a job; it is an opportunity to embrace the beauty of June Lake, California.Benefits and perks of your adventure here:Ski passes for dependents (spouse/child(ren)/domestic partners) includes free skiing at other Alterra ResortsFree skiing at all Alterra ResortsSki/snowboarding lessons discountsEquipment Rental discountFriends and Family vouchersRetail & Food discount401k with company match*Offers of employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background checkA little about this position:Oversees the daily operations of Ski Patrol.Works closely with VP of June Mountain Operations, and the Mammoth Patrol leadership team to set operational objectives.Manages staff, facilitates training, and provides mentorship, coaching, and correcting.This role combines field leadership with administrative oversight and requires strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, expert skiing ability, the ability to lead effectively.The Patrol Director works closely with the Avalanche Mitigation Department (AMD) Manager and Director of Patrol to coordinate staffing, training, avalanche mitigation support, operational priorities, and emergency response readiness across the mountain.Requirements:Minimum 10 years of experience preferred as a Professional Ski Patroller in a Class A Avalanche rated ski resort and meet the requirements of a TT-C or TT-D Patroller.Experience managing people and risks in high consequence environments.Current EMR, EMT, or Paramedic with BLS CPR first aid certification.Current California Avalanche Blaster license.Expert level knowledge in one or more areas of patrol specialty: rescue dogs, medical, technical rescue etc.Ability to direct the Ski Patrol staff to safely and successfully complete avalanche control work and perform daily activitiesExcellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with other managers/departments, Ski Patrol staff, guests, and outside organizationsDemonstrated ability to act with independent judgmentDemonstrated ability to make rational decisions in a high stress environment or situationEffective coaching, correcting, and evaluating of Ski Patrol staffBasic computer skills required and experience with Microsoft OfficePay: $95,649.29 - $108,724.65 per yearTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.Mammoth Mountain is an equal opportunity employer.
