People often come to Pennings and Sons looking for a job and stay because they find a fulfilling career where they can learn and grow.Pennings & Sons is looking for a Skilled Carpenter to assist in our residential remodeling and building projects by doing a variety of construction tasks focused on framing and trim work. You will have opportunity to work independently and within team settings to produce great quality work for our clients, as you master your craft.Job Description:Assist with all aspects in production of our jobsFraming for remodel and new home projectsTrim work and cabinetryLearn and share construction skillsAssist in keeping jobsites clean and safeMaintain project timelinesRequirements:Must be able to pass a DOT Physical and drug screen (REQUIRED)Must have a valid driver's license (REQUIRED)Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 80lbsMust be willing to learn, adopt and follow company core valuesConfident enough to work at heightsAble to understand warning signs and labels on a construction siteThe ability to interact and communicate appropriately with supervisor(s), management the crew, subcontractors, and clients.Proficient in English for purposes of jobsite safety, business operations, and ability to effectively communicate regarding a job's plans, specifications, etc.Thorough attention to detail/ Maintain project timelinesMaintain confidence & lead by exampleRead and interpret blueprintsResidential construction experience: 5 years (Preferred)Carpentry experience: 5 years (Preferred)Must have a strong background in framing/trim work/installing windows, doors & cabinetsWhat We Offer:Job Type: Full-timePay based on experienceCompensation package may include vacation, paid holidays, medical coverage, company apparel, and mileage reimbursement.Benefits:Disability insuranceHealth insurance with Health Savings Account availableLife insurancePaid time offSimple IRAVision insuranceDental insuranceOvertimeTypical hours are from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm; under normal conditions, the position is anticipated to be 40-45 hours per week commitment.
