CNC OperatorReady to put your CNC machining skills to work? We're looking for a skilled CNC Operator to machine precision components and tooling in a hands-on manufacturing environment in O'Fallon, MO. If you're comfortable reading blueprints, working with CNC mills, and using precision measurement tools, this is an opportunity to grow your career. If you're a CNC professional who takes pride in precision, quality, and getting the job done right, we want to talk to you!CNC Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Study specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions and visualize products to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate partsCalculate dimensions, plans layout, and determine assembly method and sequence of operationsMeasure, mark, and scribe metal stock for machining; verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances using a variety of measuring devices and gaugesSet up and operate CNC mill to machines parts and verify conformance of machined parts to specificationsFit and assemble parts together and into assemblies and mechanismsExamine standard or previously used dies, tools, jig and fixtures, and recommend design modifications regarding construction and function of partDevelop specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and draw or sketch design of productMaintain equipment through preventative maintenanceOther duties as requiredCNC Operator Requirements:Associate degree or equivalent from accredited college or technical school is preferred; or 4-6 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to read, analyze, and interpret repair manuals, blueprints, schematics, shop drawings, engineering notes, drawings, procedural manuals, and other mechanical reports; present information effectively and respond to questions from groups of managers, supervisors, employees, and othersAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as decimal equivalents, inference, and the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry; apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situationsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; interpret written, oral, diagrammed, or schedule-form instructionsAbility to talk, hear, see, and use hands/fingers to handle or feelAbility to regularly walk or stand for long periods of time for up to 10 hours a dayAbility to regularly bend, stoop, climb, crawl, or kneelAbility to exert up to 50 pounds of force regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects; if greater than 50 pounds, will require assistance or the use of lifting equipmentMachine shops and manufacturing facilities with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particlesThe noise level is moderate and occasionally highWork with machine shop equipment, forklifts, and occasionally near punch pressesUse of Personal Protective Equipment is required when in the plantIND999 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
