CNC Set Up MachinistWage: $25-$29/hourShift: 1stHours: 5am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday, 5am-10am as neededQPS Employment Group is hiring a CNC Set Up Machinist for a company in Hartford, WI. This associate to hire role is setup-focused only and not an operator position—candidates must have setup experience.CNC Set Up Machinist Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Set up CNC machines (HAAS) for production runsLoad, edit, and verify CNC programs as neededInstall and align tooling, fixtures, and workpiecesPerform first article inspections to ensure part accuracyAdjust offsets, speeds, and feeds to optimize performanceTroubleshoot setup issues and ensure machines are production-readyCollaborate with programmers and production team to ensure efficiencyMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow all safety procedures and company standardsCNC Set Up Machinist Requirements:- Proven experience setting up CNC machines (HAAS preferred)- Strong understanding of G-code and CNC programming basics- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and tolerances- Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently and take ownership of setups- Preferred experience in a job shop or production machining environment- Preferred ability to make minor program edits at the machine- Preferred familiarity with multiple materials (steel, aluminum, etc.)- Manufacturing / machining shop environment- Exposure to machinery, noise, and metalworking conditions- PPE required at all timesQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
