Apply now!$33.00 - $38.00/hour12 Hours12:00pm - 12:00amLead Tool Maker Responsibilities:- Assist with the fabrication, modification, maintenance, and repair of tools and mechanical components by using CNC mills, mills, lathes, drills, grinders and other shop equipment- Perform bench work such as sanding and tool assembly- Assist in tool inspections to insure proper tool rebuilds/repairs and reduce development costs of new tools- Participate as a team member to improve work practices and methods- Understand and comply with all ISO QSP's and work instructions related to job responsibilities- Assist in Tool Vault and Sample Lab as required- Work in any department of the Company as required- Assist all departments by providing machine shop support- Troubleshoot production problems and provide solutions- Perform work to the tooling schedule and adjust as required to meet internal and external customer deadlinesRequirements for Lead Tool Maker:- Certificate in Machine Tool Operations or related field and 1 year experience in manufacturing environment – OR – Equivalent machine tool experience in tool fabrication, maintenance, or machine shop- Ability to read, write and speak English to meet training, safety and quality requirements- Working knowledge on the safe and effective use of the following machine shop equipment: CAD/CAM, CNC mills, EDM's, milling machines, manual lathes, and drill presses- Ability to read blueprints- Ability to apply shop math to build tools- Ability to interact well with others- Self-starter with the ability to try new methods to improve productivity- Strong troubleshooting skills
