Skilled Machine Operator | Permanent Night Shift 7p-7a | $19-$24 /hr. | Direct HirePermanent Night Shift (7p-7a) Opportunity | Training Conducted on 1st Shift (7a-7p) Spherion Mid Ohio's Professional Division is partnered with a well-established organization in New Philadelphia, Ohio seeking skilled Machine Operators to join their production team. Responsibilities include:Set up and operate specialized production machineryRead and follow detailed job orders and production specificationsMake machine adjustments for setup, quality, and production accuracyMonitor production runs to ensure efficiency and quality standardsTroubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments as neededPerform preventative maintenance on equipmentPull, inspect, and review product samples throughout productionLead or direct a small crew during production runsMaintain a safe, organized, and productive work areaWhat We're Looking ForQualified candidates should have:Strong mechanical aptitudeMachine operating experience in a skilled production environmentExperience with machine setup, adjustments, troubleshooting, or changeoversAbility to read job orders, work instructions, and basic machine documentationIntermediate math skillsExperience using rulers, calipers, or other measuring devicesAbility to use hand tools for setup and adjustmentStrong attention to detail and qualityAbility to problem-solve in real timeStrong attendance and reliabilityAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to lead, direct, or support a small production crewIdeal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate may come from a background in: Printing or bindery operations Packaging or converting High-speed manufacturing CNC or precision machine operation Skilled machine setup, troubleshooting, and changeover environments Industrial maintenance or mechanically intensive manufacturing environments Candidates with strong transferable mechanical, production, and troubleshooting skills are encouraged to apply.SchedulePermanent Night Shift Position Selected candidates will complete training on day shift (7a-7p) before transitioning to their permanent night shift (7p-7a) assignment.
