Industrial Maintenance / Ammonia Refrigeration TechnicianWe are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance / Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to support refrigeration, facility, and production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Franklin, WI. This direct hire position requires hands-on ammonia refrigeration experience along with strong mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.Industrial Maintenance / Ammonia Refrigeration Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on refrigeration, facility, and production equipmentTroubleshoot and repair ammonia refrigeration systems, working with outside contractors as neededPerform maintenance on HVAC, water heating, boiler, and condenser water chemical systemsComplete daily, weekly, monthly, and annual refrigeration system, facility, and building inspectionsMaintain accurate refrigeration logs and maintenance records, including labor, materials, and partsTroubleshoot mechanical breakdowns using manufacturer manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical diagramsPerform pump rebuilds, sensor calibrations, PMs, and equipment repairsUtilize CMMS and maintenance software to complete and document assigned work ordersOperate forklifts, aerial platforms, and other material-handling equipment as neededMaintain clean and organized refrigeration engine rooms, maintenance shops, and chemical/parts storage areasFollow LOTO, NFPA 70E, SOPs, GMPs, food safety, quality, and workplace safety requirementsParticipate in required training, shift meetings, and safety programsWork occasional weekends and holidays based on business needsIndustrial Maintenance / Ammonia Refrigeration Technician Requirements:Ammonia Refrigeration Certification requiredHands-on experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems2+ years of relevant industrial maintenance experience; food or dairy manufacturing experience preferredHigh school diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree in Mechanical, HVAC, or related field is preferredStrong mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance experienceAbility to read and interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams, process drawings, and equipment manualsBasic electrical knowledge, including NFPA 70E requirementsHMI/PLC troubleshooting skillsExperience with process instrumentation and controls preferredExperience using CMMS, Microsoft Office, and maintenance/manufacturing softwareAbility to operate material-handling equipment and perform pump rebuilds, sensor calibrations, and PMsAbility to work in cold environments and around moving equipmentAbility to lift up to 75 pounds and regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climbAbility to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays as neededBenefits:Excellent benefits package and career development opportunities
