Job description
Make a direct impact in a school-based setting by providing dedicated support to young learners as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. Located near Elma, WA, this contract position requires a skilled professional comfortable delivering therapy to PreK through 2nd-grade students, as well as those in the district's high-needs program. As an SLPA, you'll work 6 hours onsite each day and collaborate with a virtual SLP to help manage a caseload of approximately 80 students.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid SLPA licensure/certification required
Experience in both school and healthcare therapy settings preferred
Comfort working with a diverse caseload, including students with complex needs
Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with a remote supervising SLP
Commitment to supporting students' individualized goals
Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP, both individually and in small groups
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and the supervising SLP to implement therapy strategies
Document student progress and maintain organized records to support ongoing assessments
Adapt materials and activities for students with a range of needs, especially within the high-needs program
Participate in team meetings, share observations, and adjust services as directed
