Job description
Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a skilled and dependable TIG Welder to join our team on 1st Shift. This position works within our fabrication and machining shop and plays an important role in producing high-quality metal components and assemblies. The ideal candidate takes pride in their workmanship, works safely and efficiently, and is comfortable working from blueprints, work orders, and verbal instructions.In this role, you will utilize TIG welding and other welding methods to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components to meet production and quality standards. Work may involve a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and galvanized metals. Candidates should have experience with common welding processes such as GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), SMAW, and SAW, along with the ability to accurately interpret blueprints and technical drawings.We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of fabrication practices, and a commitment to producing quality work in a team-oriented environment. Previous welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing setting is preferred, and welding certifications are considered a plus.What You'll DoTIG weld stainless steel, aluminum, and other various metalsSafely and efficiently operate assigned equipmentRead, understand, and accurately execute work orders and quality assurance (QA) standards per job requirementsTack-weld or weld components and assemblies, using welding equipmentWelds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positionsPerform quality checks during production to ensure parts/pieces meet tolerance requirements Working Conditions Sit, talk, hear, read, and writeWalk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and armsStand for extended periods of timeLift and/or move up to 50 poundsPerform duties indoors in a shop setting with occasional work outdoors in a variety of weather conditionsWhat You'll Bring2+ years of TIG welding 16-gauge to 1/4-inch stainless steel and aluminumMust successfully complete a weld test required before employmentAbility to weld in either GTAWPossess knowledge of metal plate types (steel, aluminum, stainless, galvanized, etc.) sizes, and shapes (beams, channels, angles, pipe, flat bar, etc.) preferredKnowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in an industrial shop settingAbility to use measuring devices such as tape measures, squares, protractors, compasses, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.How We'll Support YouWE ARE NOW EMPLOYEE OWNEDEmployees are beneficial owners through an ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan) that works through a qualified retirement plan.
