Job description
Job TitleUnder general supervision, assist journeyman painters to complete paint work orders or any other work order assigned to the paint department.Education/Certifications:High School diploma or GED Valid Texas driver's licenseExperience:Prior experience as apprentice painter is desirableSpecial Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Physically fit with good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination and good sense of balance Must be able to lift 50 pounds Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools and safety equipment Good human relation skills and the ability to work well with othersMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Facilities Maintenance and RepairAssist journeyman painters in the painting of facilities and, any other work orders assigned to the paint department.Sweep and clean paint shop and or work area as instructed.Organize materials as instructed.Abide by all safety rules posted in paint shop.Safety:Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.Follow safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, use of electrical tools, etc.Other:Work irregular hours and respond to after-hour emergency calls as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.
