Job Title
Performs skilled work in the new construction, remodeling and repair maintenance of county parks and facilities.
Job Description
Responding to work orders for repairs in county parks, involving carpentry, painting, concrete work, irrigation. Assisting other staff in routine or corrective maintenance projects. Perform scheduled playground inspections. Responsible for managing materials, multiple work orders, purchasing cards, and maintaining county equipment. Evaluate and communicate potential issues. Paperwork creation and completion (work orders, inspection reports, invoices, p-card receipts). Work Hours: 40 Hours Per Week - 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
A High School Diploma or its equivalent and two (2) years of experience, education, training or any combination of experience in park maintenance. A valid Driver's License is required. Within one-year, incumbent must obtain National Recreation Parks Association (NRPA) playground certification.
Job Competencies
Knowledge of minor construction, shop fabrication, painting, power tools, "handyman" skills and environmental stewardship.
Physical Demands
Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
