The role also serves as the primary point of contact for Pediatric ENT coordination, Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) iron infusion therapy planning in collaboration with pharmacy and infusion teams, and clinical trial patients requiring inpatient sleep studies or home sleep testing. The Sleep Nurse Navigator may also assist with CPAP pressure adjustments for select remote patient monitoring patients and works closely with Behavioral Sleep Medicine and Psychology programs to ensure coordinated, multidisciplinary care. The Sleep Nurse Navigator is expected to maintain competency in core Sleep RN functions, including DME and CPAP supply coordination, sleep study order entry, communicating sleep study results, triaging patient inquiries related to sleep therapy, and processing CPAP-related orders in accordance with approved nursing protocols when operational support is needed.
