SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Medical Director and upon request of a physician perform various types of EEG and sleep disorder education and testing. Ability to score sleep recordings and provide statistical reports.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum of 1 year clinical experience, Sleep training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in Sleep required.
Certifications: Must be Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT) or equivalent Sleep Disorders Specialty credentialing from The National Board of Respiratory Care (CRT-SDS or RRT-SDS).
Other: Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist with current AR State License preferred.
Preferred Education: Associates Degree in Respiratory Care or other related medical field preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions. Spend 8 hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse, daily. Ability to stand and walk, bend, squat, twist regularly up to or exceeding 8 – 12 hours during shift(s). Ability to push and/or roll equipment up to 300 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity. Will require intense concentration for periods of time. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.
