Wire Technician IJoin a growing, innovative medical device manufacturer as a Wire Technician I, where you'll work hands-on with cutting-edge automated production equipment, robotics, laser welding, PCB testing, and advanced assembly technologies. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy troubleshooting, machine maintenance, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. You'll play a key role in producing life-changing healthcare products while gaining cross-functional training, exposure to advanced manufacturing processes, and opportunities to contribute to new product launches, process improvements, and operational excellence.Position OverviewThe SMA Wire Technician operates detail-sensitive machines making small parts and works with their hands on small, detailed projects.This is a weekend day shift. Working hours are 6:00 am - 6:30 pm, Friday - Sunday.Responsibilities• Perform equipment setup, operation, repair, and basic daily/weekly preventative maintenance tasks to meet all standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.• Maintain machine raw material feeds, perform any fault clearing and clear stoppages on automated equipment.• Utilize human machine interfaces (HMIs) to identify and correct shifts in process control.• Ensure adequate raw material is prepared correctly and jobs are on schedule• Able to utilize computer systems to support material inventory and quality management processes.• Perform routine cleaning/inspection/lubrication of machinery.• Able to use measuring tools to assess process stability and product quality• Works from specifications, work orders, and general instructions from Supervisor.• Safely follow standard operating procedures including but not limited to material handling, record keeping, packaging, and shipment preparation.• Identify and report discrepancies in quality, safety and process execution• Ensure adherence to SOPs and regulatory standards (FDA 21CFR, ISO 13495, cGMP)• Able to work in small groups and cross functional teams to troubleshoot issues, identify and implement collective corrective actions.• Maintain a clean work environment suitable for medical device manufacturing.• Performs other duties as required.Required Skills and Competencies• Self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.• Must be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, communicate, and write.• Ideal candidate will have keen eye for quality, is dependable, and will work collaboratively within a team, and possess a positive attitude.• Mechanical Aptitude – Knowledge of and experience with automated machines and tools, including design, uses, repair, and maintenance.• Production & Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, measurement instruments, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for the manufacture and distribution of goods.• Mathematics – Knowledge of basic arithmetic, algebra and/or geometry.Preferred Education and Experience• High School Diploma/GED• Experience in manufacturing• Experience with assembling, debugging, and optimizing discrete component assembly processesPhysical Requirements• Required to stand for at least 75% of working time per shift, with walking at least 50% of working time per shift.• Required to reach above shoulder frequently and below waist occasionally.• Required to push and pull.• Ability to lift up to 20lbs occasionally, 5-10lbs frequently.Additional InformationThe position is working on-site at our Acton, MA location.Compensation & Benefits:For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $18.16 - $27.24This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:• Medical, dental, and vision insurance• 401(k) with company match• Paid time off (PTO)• And additional employee wellness programsApplication Details:This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.To apply, please visit the Insulet Careers site and submit your application online.Actual pay depends on skills, experience, and education.Insulet Corporation (NASDAQ: PODD), headquartered in Massachusetts, is an innovative medical device company dedicated to simplifying life for people with diabetes and other conditions through its Omnipod product platform.At Insulet Corporation all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
