Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to lead clinical standards within a long-established general practice. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a confident veterinarian who enjoys combining hands‑on medicine and surgery with mentorship, protocol development and responsibility for maintaining consistently high standards of patient care.
The successful candidate will work closely with an experienced support team while helping define and implement medical policies, guide day-to-day clinical decision-making and support continued practice development. The role offers a collaborative environment, flexible scheduling and no emergency hours, making it well suited to a senior clinician looking to balance leadership responsibilities with regular patient care.
Qualifications Needed:
DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary institution
Current New Jersey veterinary licence or eligibility to obtain one
At least five years of veterinary practice experience
Strong medical, surgical and client communication skills
Confident leadership style with a collaborative and team-focused approach
