Build Your Veterinary Career with Casselton Veterinary Service — Where Innovation Meets Heart

About the Practice:

For nearly 70 years, Casselton Veterinary Service has been a trusted name in animal care across the Red River Valley — and we’re proud to be consistently voted the area’s Best Veterinary Clinic. With two thriving locations in Casselton and Fargo, ND, we combine small-town charm with big-city services, offering our team the best of both worlds.

We’re looking for veterinarians who want more than just a job — who want to be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking, and genuinely supportive team. Whether your passion is small animal, large animal, or mixed practice, you’ll find a place here to grow, learn, and thrive.

With 10 experienced doctors and an incredible support staff, we’re dedicated to delivering exceptional, compassionate care — while fostering professional growth and a culture that celebrates both teamwork and individuality.

What We Offer Our Clients (and You’ll Get to Work With!):

At Casselton Veterinary Service, you’ll have access to some of the most advanced equipment and facilities in the region:

Modern equine surgery suite with crane and indoor cattle working facility with hydraulic chute

Farm and ranch call services for bovine, equine, and small ruminant patients

CT scanning and advanced ultrasound technology

Shockwave therapy and laser therapy capabilities

Canine rehabilitation center featuring an underwater treadmill

In-house laboratory with extensive diagnostic capabilities

Convenient proximity to the NDSU Veterinary Diagnostic Lab

Orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, for both large and small animals

Holistic medicine, including acupuncture and chiropractic services

Pet behavior team dedicated to improving the human-animal bond

This isn’t your average mixed animal clinic — it’s a place where innovation meets compassion, and every day brings something new, challenging, and rewarding.

About the Area:

With two locations in Casselton and Fargo, North Dakota, we offer the best of both worlds.

Casselton is a close-knit, family-friendly community where neighbors still wave hello, and life moves at a comfortable pace. You’ll find great schools, affordable living, and that small-town warmth that makes it easy to feel at home.

Just 20 minutes away, Fargo brings the energy — a growing metro area with a vibrant downtown, endless restaurants, concerts, coffee shops, and cultural events. It’s been ranked among the best small cities in America for families and professionals alike. Together, these two communities create the perfect blend of comfort, opportunity, and adventure.

Who We’re Looking For:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university

Licensure in good standing to practice in North Dakota (or ability to obtain)

Passion for large animal medicine is a big plus!

Strong communicator with a compassionate, team-oriented mindset

Commitment to practicing top-quality, progressive medicine

What You’ll Do:

Provide outstanding medical, surgical, and preventive care to a diverse patient base

Participate in farm and ranch calls

Build lasting relationships with clients and their animals

Collaborate with our skilled doctors and staff to deliver gold-standard care

Continue growing your skills through mentorship, CE, and hands-on opportunities

What You’ll Get:

Competitive base salary with production bonuses

401(k) with employer contribution

Health, dental, and vision insurance

AFLAC options

Paid CE and professional dues

Generous PTO and flexible scheduling

A practice culture that values mentorship, innovation, and fun

At Casselton Veterinary Service, you’ll find a team that feels like family, facilities that fuel your professional passion, and a community that’s proud to have you.

If you’re ready to take your veterinary career to the next level, this is where it happens.
