nSummary
nJoin our team as a Smokehouse Operations Associate and be an integral part of our production process! This role supports smooth operations in the smokehouse and drying areas while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and teamwork. It's a hands-on, fast-paced position perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in keeping production running efficiently
nSchedule: Monday through Saturday, 6:30am-3:00pm
nPrincipal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
nnnMove empty or full product trucks within the production facility.
n
nnLoad and unload smokehouses and drying rooms.
n
nnValidate tree documentation prior to transport or staging.
n
nnMaintains a clean and organized work area to uphold food safety standards.
n
nnCollaborates with team members to achieve production targets - at times including coverage in other functional areas.
n
nnParticipates in company and department safety programs.
n
nnAll other tasks or assignments delegated by leadership.
n
n nPreferred Education and Experience
nnHigh School or equivalent is beneficial but not required.
n nPhysical Requirements and Environmental Factors
nnnMust be able to see, touch, smell & record findings in writing or electronically.
n
nnManual dexterity for clinical procedures.
n
nnMove light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
n
nnHave ability to respond as needed to medical emergencies in all areas of the complex.
n
nnMust have ability to move throughout the processing plant & surrounding environments of the off-site facilities, such as feed mills, hatchery, etc.
n
nnMajority of work in office or clinic setting, as well as inter-facility & external environmental conditions (e.g. noise levels, changes in temperature, humidity, etc. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
n
nnMay be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. To 110 db.
n
nnMay be exposed to dust, feathers, and all chemicals used in poultry processing facility.
n
nnYou must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
n
nnAbility to stand and walk for extended period
