Associate or Full Tenured Faculty Position in Information Technology and Operations Management #49928
SMU's Cox School of Business invites applications for tenured positions at the Associate or Full Professor level in the Information Technology and Operations Management (ITOM) Department. Endowed positions are also possible. All candidates should demonstrate established post-tenure achievements and a robust pipeline of ongoing research. Both salary and teaching load are competitive, as is support for research and instruction. Faculty will be expected to conduct high-quality research, participate in university service, and to deliver high-quality instruction in courses across undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs, which include online teaching. The position will begin August 2027.
The Cox School is a nationally ranked business school located in Dallas, Texas, a premier business center in the U.S. The School offers a collegial working environment, generous faculty support and outstanding facilities. The Information Technology and Operations Management Department has well-respected research faculty, who actively publish in top academic journals, participate in national and international conferences, collaborate with scholars across the globe, and inform policy debates on topics such as Information Systems Design and Supply Chain Management. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. (or equivalent terminal degree) in Information Systems, Business Analytics and/or Operations Management or a related field; demonstrated track record of high-quality research and teaching.
Preferred qualifications: A research focus in artificial intelligence, data and analytics, cybersecurity and privacy, digital platforms, or technology-enabled operations and supply chains is desired. Applicants should have an established publication record in top-tier academic journals, strong working research pipeline, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and a record of professional service and leadership in the field.
