Saturday Soccer Club Field Supervisor & Coach Development Lead
nLocation: St. Paul’s Recreation Complex, Garden City, NY
nSchedule: Saturdays, 8:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.
nPosition Type: Seasonal, part-time; hourly paid
nReports To: Club Operations Coordinator
nCompensation: $175 Per Day
nPosition Overview
nSoccer Stars United is seeking an experienced and highly dependable soccer professional to serve as our Saturday Soccer Field Supervisor and Coach Development Lead for the upcoming Fall season.
nThis on-field leadership position is responsible for overseeing the consistent and professional delivery of the club’s Saturday programming at St. Paul’s Recreation Complex. The successful candidate will ensure that coaches arrive on time, are properly prepared, and deliver the assigned weekly curriculum to the expected standard.
nThe Field Supervisor will serve as the primary point of contact at the facility and will communicate regularly with the Club Operations Coordinator, coaching staff, and club board members. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished coach who is ready to take on greater responsibility in coach management, curriculum implementation, and field operations.
nPrimary Responsibilities
nnnMaintain an on-field presence at St. Paul’s Recreation Complex from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on every scheduled Saturday during the Fall season.

nnConfirm that all assigned coaches arrive on time and are prepared for their scheduled sessions.
n
nnMonitor training sessions throughout the day to ensure coaches are accurately and effectively delivering the designated weekly session plans.
n
nnProvide coaches with constructive feedback, guidance, and on-field support when needed.
n
nnMaintain a high and consistent standard of coaching, professionalism, organization, and player engagement across the program.
n
nnLearn, interpret, and communicate the club’s coaching curriculum and weekly training objectives.
n
nnAssist with the development or refinement of session plans and curriculum materials when requested.
n
nnAddress coaching, scheduling, operational, and field-related issues calmly and efficiently as they arise.
n
nnMaintain consistent communication with club board members and other program stakeholders while representing the organization professionally.
n
nnProvide the Club Operations Coordinator with timely and accurate reports concerning coach attendance, punctuality, session quality, curriculum execution, and any incidents or concerns.
n
nnEscalate significant staffing, safety, or operational issues promptly.
n
nnHelp foster a positive, organized, and development-focused environment for players, families, coaches, and club representatives.
n
n nRequired Qualifications
nnnA minimum of two years of soccer coaching experience.
n
nnStrong understanding of player development, age-appropriate training methods, and session organization.
n
nnDemonstrated ability to learn, implement, and design soccer curricula and session plans.
n
nnExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
n
nnAbility to evaluate coaches objectively and provide clear, constructive feedback.
n
nnStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.
n
nnAbility to make sound decisions and operate efficiently under pressure.
n
nnProfessional and confident when communicating with coaches, parents, club officials, and board members.
n
nnDependable transportation and the ability to arrive before the start of Saturday programming.
n
nnAvailability for all scheduled Saturdays during the Fall season is required.
n
n nPreferred Qualifications
nnnPrevious experience supervising, mentoring, or managing other coaches.
n
nnA current US Soccer, United Soccer Coaches, UEFA, or comparable coaching qualification.
n
nnExperience working within a youth soccer club, academy, or community-based development program.
n
nnExperience developing seasonal curricula or overseeing multi-team training programs.
n
nnCurrent first aid, CPR, or player-safety credentials.
n
n nIdeal Candidate

This individual is observant, proactive, composed, and comfortable holding coaching staff accountable while building positive working relationships. They should be equally capable of supporting a coach on the field, communicating with club leadership, and managing an unexpected operational issue.
