Job description

Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education and in Social Studies (or related field)
Demonstrated experience delivering differentiated instruction to meet IEP goals and grade-level standards
Strong classroom management skills in both inclusive and resource settings
Familiarity with progress monitoring tools, adaptive technology, and IEP documentation practices
Effective communicator with students, families, and interdisciplinary school teams
Passion for cultivating supportive and motivating learning communities
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum and individualized goals
Modify instructional materials and strategies for students with diverse learning needs
Assess student progress; maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings
Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture that encourages student participation
Collaborate with fellow educators, service providers, and school leadership to maximize student success
Integrate engaging, real-world content into social studies instruction
Participate in professional development and ongoing training
