Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff!
PediaStaff is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker for a full-time, school-based position in the Aurora, IL area . This position will support both middle school and transition-aged students and offers the possibility of extending into the following school year.
Position Details
Pay: $50–$56 per hour
Start Date: Early December 2026
End Date: May 2027
Possibility to extend for the school year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Population: Middle School and Transition-aged students
In-person position
Qualifications
Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
Master's degree in Social Work
School-based experience preferred
Experience supporting students with diverse social, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs preferred
Responsibilities
Provide individual and group social work services to students
Support students' social, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs
Develop and implement appropriate IEP goals and interventions
Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team meetings
Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed
Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers
Connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources
Maintain required documentation and monitor student progress
Support transition-aged students as they build skills for greater independence and post-school success
