Job description
Embark on a meaningful opportunity shaping young lives as a School Counselor, Social Worker, or School-Based Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with an immediate start date and commitment through June 2027. This contract position offers a blend of in-person support and flexibility, designed for professionals passionate about empowering students in an education-focused, supportive setting.
You'll work a consistent, balanced schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, with Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM. While the role begins part-time, you may have the opportunity to expand to full-time hours as student needs evolve.
Ideal candidates will bring:
Current Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) certification
Full credentials as a School Counselor, School Social Worker, or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Prior experience providing counseling or social work services within school settings
Outstanding communication, rapport-building, and problem-solving abilities
A collaborative approach and commitment to trauma-informed, student-centered care
Your day-to-day impact includes: Delivering individual and group counseling to support students' academic, social, and emotional growth
Collaborating with educators, families, and program staff to design effective intervention strategies
Maintaining thorough documentation while adhering to all state and program guidelines
Conducting presentations or workshops for students and staff as needed
Advocating for student access to needed resources and supports
