Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university
Holds one of the following: Preliminary School Social Worker Certificate (PSSWC), Professional School Social Worker Certificate (PSWC), or School Social Worker Permit (SSWP)
Current MI-SW and LARA license required
School-based social work experience strongly preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct counseling services and interventions to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
Conduct assessments, develop and implement intervention plans, and participate actively in the IEP process
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community resources to support students success and wellbeing
Provide crisis intervention and serve as an advocate for students and their families
Maintain thorough records and documentation in compliance with legal and district requirements
