Job description
Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity as a school-based Social Worker, serving both high school and elementary students in a dynamic educational setting near Manchester, MI. You'll collaborate closely with a supportive team of two experienced Social Workers, ensuring holistic care and support for students' social and emotional well-being.
As a key member of the social work team, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference in students' lives across two campuses, working directly with diverse populations and staff dedicated to student success.
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) required
Relevant school-based social work experience is strongly preferred
Exceptional communication, empathy, and collaboration skills
Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt to the needs of both elementary and high school environments
Strong commitment to supporting students' emotional growth and academic achievement
Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention plans
Facilitate connections between families and community resources
Manage documentation, assessments, and progress reports in compliance with school policies
Promote positive school climate by participating in team meetings and school initiatives
Serve as an advocate for students, ensuring they have access to the support and services they need
