Job description
Step into a rewarding school-based Social Worker opportunity for the academic year! This contract position will place you at the heart of an engaging elementary environment, while also supporting needs throughout the district. Your expertise will help shape interventions, provide guidance, and foster emotional well-being for diverse learners. This position offers variety and the chance to make a meaningful impact, as you'll support both a primary elementary site and work across the district as needs arise.
Key qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
Active state licensure as a School Social Worker
Prior experience in school-based social work or a similar educational setting
Strong organizational and time management skills
Genuine passion for supporting students' emotional and academic growth
Effective communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment
Responsibilities include: Conducting initial and ongoing assessments to identify students' needs
Delivering individual and group counseling services
Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to support student goals
Designing and implementing effective intervention strategies
Participating in IEP and 504 meetings, offering expertise as part of a multidisciplinary team
Advocating for student well-being and connecting families with community resources
