Peregrine is a pioneer within the cybersecurity industrial control systems and the Internet of Things, supporting many federal and commercial customers. Peregrine's experienced staff knows the cybersecurity and operational technology environment and provides these capabilities for our customers daily.
Summary
The Software Architect V is a senior technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high‑level software architectures for complex projects and enterprise systems.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement high‑level project architectures – specifications for platform configurations, subsystem specifications, protocols, and interfaces
Support, develop, and evolve existing systems into target architectures
Technical Project Management Utilize project management tools to coordinate and plan development work
Meet regularly with the technical lead team to report progress, set priorities, and coordinate requirements gathering
Gather requirements
Help develop timelines
Ensure developers are available to develop software to meet those timelines
Coordinate with technical team for release scheduling
Data integration development Java development using Spring Boot and REST APIs
Java development projecting data into Pub/Sub topics
Python and Quarto for developing tabular reports for the web
Database design, business intelligence tooling for end users
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge
Proven experience developing and implementing complex software architectures
Strong knowledge of software design patterns, architectural principles, protocols, and interfaces
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in software design, development, and architecture
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
