Job Title: Manager of Software Development

Assignment Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $105,000–$140,000 annually + bonus potential
Work Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Standard business hours (Central Time hours)

Job Description
We are seeking a Manager of Software Development to lead a team of software engineers in a fully remote environment. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring developers, improving engineering processes, and helping build a high-performing team. The ideal candidate is adaptable, motivated, and excited to contribute to an evolving technology organization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately seven software developers.
Drive Agile and Scrum best practices while helping improve software development processes.
Monitor team performance through KPIs, delivery metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Oversee project execution and prioritize work within a ticket-based development environment.
Partner with technical and business stakeholders to deliver quality software solutions.
Remove obstacles and help the team improve efficiency and productivity.
Support career growth and professional development for team members.
Provide technical guidance when needed while remaining focused on leadership responsibilities.
Qualifications
Experience managing or leading software development teams.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience tracking team performance using KPIs and project metrics.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle best practices.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Technical experience with Microsoft technologies or .NET is preferred but not required.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
