Job description
We are a prime contractor with the U.S. Department of War, so candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship, right now or in the future. This is a full-time position in our Coral Springs, FL office and is not a remote position. We are a 100% on-site work environment and will only be considering local candidates in the areas listed: Miami, Broward, Palm Beach . This is an entry level role and great for recent grads, 1-2 years of experience!
PositionSummary
We are seeking a motivated Android Developer to join our mobile engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the development, enhancement, andmaintenance of Android applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to deliver reliable and scalable mobile solutions.
This position is well suited for a developerwho enjoys building polished mobile experiences.
Responsibilities
Develop, test, andmaintainAndroid applicationsand components
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and backend engineers
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Implement new features and improve existing functionality
Identifyand fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and security issues
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes
Stay updated with new Android frameworks, tools, and best practices

Required Skills & Experience
Computer Science or Computer Engineeringdegree
2+ years of experience developing Android applications
Strong knowledge of Kotlin or Java
Understanding of RESTful APIs and networking
Experience working with the Android SDK and Android Studio
Experience with Git or other version control systems
Knowledge of UI design principles and responsive layouts
Ability to work in a fast-moving, collaborative startup environment
Basic understanding of machine learning or AI concepts and their application in software products
Must be fluent in written and spokenEnglish
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience integrating AI/ML models or AI-based APIs into applications
Experience with Jetpack Compose
Familiarity with MVVM or other Android architecture patterns
Knowledge of Roomandother common Android libraries
Experience with unit testing and UI testing
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in Agile or Scrum developmentenvironments
