Job description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, Maryland area . In this role, you will help design, develop, and integrate critical software solutions to support high-priority mission requirements .
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements .
Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features and correct defects .
Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments .
Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards and conferring with system engineers .
Develop or implement algorithms and database queries to meet or exceed functional standards .
Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components .
Write or review comprehensive software and system documentation .
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (4 years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted) .
Seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer .
Five (5) years of combined experience using any major object-oriented or modern language (e.g., Java, Python, Golang, JavaScript, C/C++).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular .
Clearance Requirements:
Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph .
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time .
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery .
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations .
