Job description
A large autonomous technology business is looking for an experienced engineer to join the team. The role focuses on designing and maintaining the backend services that manage feature delivery and release deployments for a large fleet of vehicles. The successful candidate will work across engineering and operations teams to ensure system stability and safe feature rollouts.
What you'll be doing
Design and maintain large-scale backend services delivering configurations to a fleet of autonomous vehicles.
Build mission-critical commercialization tools and systems to support scaling into new markets.
Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Operations teams to evolve systems as organizational needs grow.
Implement robust rollout processes to manage the complexity of updating vehicles in a high-stakes environment.
Enable safe feature launches through evaluation, A/B testing, and gradual deployment strategies.
What we're looking for
Extensive professional software engineering experience with a focus on large-scale distributed systems.
Proven track record of driving effective collaboration and alignment across different organizational boundaries.
Strong ability to document technical designs and communicate complex processes to cross-functional teams.
Commitment to system safety and reliability with experience in failure detection and prevention mechanisms.
Proficiency in C++ and familiarity with high-performance distributed infrastructure and protocols.
