Overview
Primary Talent Partners has a 12 month contract opening for a Software Engineer (Embedded) to join a multinational medical device company for an onsite role operating out of Boston, MA.
Pay: $60.00/hr - $70.00/hr based on experience and academia
Contract: 12 months, extensions likely, conversion possible
Type: W-2, cannot support C2C or provide visa sponsorship
Onsite: 100% Onsite in Boston, MA
About the Role
We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support the Robotic Assisted Surgery platform. This role is based in Boston, MA. You will join a world-class team developing software for surgical robotics, collaborating closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to enhance this innovative platform.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and troubleshoot embedded software in C/C++ for robotic surgical devices.
Support board bring-up, system integration, and validation testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, design solutions, and ensure quality.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, with opportunities to act as Scrum Master or Product Owner.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s degree and 2+ years).
Proficiency in C/C++ with strong embedded software development background.
Hands-on experience with embedded devices, board bring-up, and Linux/QNX or similar OS.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum/SAFe methodologies.
Python Experience.
Medical Device industry experience.
Nice to Have
Background in software architecture design.
Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
Certified Scrum Master
