Overview
Collins Aerospace’s Communication Systems teams are on the front lines of innovation, designing embedded communication solutions that keep military forces connected worldwide. We’re looking for a Software Engineer II to shape secure communications.
Responsibilities
Design and develop cutting‑edge embedded software, networking, and communication products in C/C++ and Rust.
Drive project success by collaborating on requirements, implementation, test development, and certification.
Lead initiatives and organize tasks for team members.
Make decisions supporting cost, schedule, and technical performance.

Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience or advanced degree in STEM.
1+ year experience in embedded software development.
1+ year experience in Python and C/C++.
Active U.S. Department of Defense clearance (preferred).
Experience with Linux development environments.
Experience in multiple phases of the software development lifecycle.
Experience with Git or other version control systems.
Experience with networking and communications protocols.
Experience with Rust programming language.
Experience with multithreading and containerization.
Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
