Description
SAIC is seeking rising juniors or seniors to join the Ground-Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) for the summer of 2026. GMASS has Software Engineering internship positions available. These interns will be performing software support using C++ or Linux to resolve coding errors, assist in developing and updating code. All of the positions under this job requisition will be in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Roles and responsibilities potentially include:
Performs Software Engineering activities including requirements definition, system analysis, scripting to automate processes, design, and systems integration.
Work side-by-side with subject matter experts to review and resolve coding errors and develop new code.
Review and assess requirements, diagrams, and documents to develop specifications.
Develop modeling and simulation using MATLAB and STK.
Investigates anomalies and supports multidisciplinary teams for resolution.
Areas of Technical Interest:
Software systems engineering and coding (Python, Java, C, C++).
Web development (Jascript, html) and Database (SQL).
System data structures and algorithms (sorting, linked lists, arrays, trees).
Debugging tools.
Atlassian Tools (Jira/Confluence).
Gitlab/Git Command Line.
Qualifications
Pursuit of BS in a STEM related degree field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.
Basic understanding of C++ and/or Linux.
Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
Must be willing and able to obtain a Secret security clearance. NOTE: Federal law requires U.S. citizenship to obtain a clearance.
Target salary range
Up to $40,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
