Share your firsthand perspective on how retail-investing engineering teams evaluate, select, and integrate third-party APIs and AI vendors in a paid conversation supporting financial intelligence product development.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in one remote interview lasting 45 to 60 minutes, scheduled at a time that works for you.
Discuss how your team evaluated or shortlisted an external API or AI vendor, such as providers of market data, news and research, identity, or AI chat capabilities, and the factors behind the final decision.
Describe what helped or hindered integrations, including documentation, reliability, pricing, security and compliance reviews, and vendor support.
Provide candid feedback about what vendors serving retail-investing products should offer.
Share only your own experience and opinions. Confidential or proprietary employer information will not be requested.
Qualifications
Currently employed in-house, rather than freelancing or consulting, as a software engineer, backend or integrations engineer, platform engineer, hands-on tech lead, or hands-on engineering manager.
Work for an online brokerage, investing app, robo-advisor, neobank with investing services, wealth platform, brokerage infrastructure provider, or another company serving retail investors.
Support the retail product side of the business, not institutional, hedge fund, or asset management desks.
Have evaluated or integrated a third-party API or AI vendor within the past 12 months, or expect to do so soon.
Have contributed to vendor selection by helping evaluate or shortlist options, rather than solely implementing a decision made by others.
Preferred Experience
Experience integrating market data, news, research, or AI chat features.
Experience working across different company sizes or seniority levels.
Work Terms
Remote, one-time engagement.
Flexible 45 to 60 minute commitment that can fit alongside your current role.
