Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Leadthe architecture, design, development, deployment, and support of cloud-native , scalable , secure ,and resilient software solutions .

Build,coach,anddevelop high-performing engineering teams ,fosteringacultureof ownership , innovation , collaboration ,and continuous learning .

Driveadoptionof Microservices , Event-Driven Architecture , Kubernetes , Infrastructure as Code (IaC) , CI/CD ,and DevSecOps bestpractices.

Partnerwith Product , Business , Architecture , Security ,and Platform Engineering teamstodefineandexecutestrategictechnologyroadmaps.

Provide hands-on technical leadership througharchitecturereviews,solutiondesign,codereviews,andcomplextechnicalproblemresolution.

Lead production support , incident management , root cause analysis ,andserviceimprovementinitiativestoensureoperationalexcellenceandsystemreliability.

Champion cloud modernization , platform transformation , automation ,and technical debt reduction programsthatimprovescalabilityanddeliveryvelocity.

Drive quarterly planning ,deliveryexecution,riskmanagement,andaccountabilityforachievingbusinessoutcomes,qualitymetrics,andplatformsustainability.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

Six to eight years of relevant technical experience

Five or more years of leading a software engineering team

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of engineering leadership andpeoplemanagementexperience.

Deepexpertisein AWS , Cloud-Native Development , Platform Engineering ,andlarge-scale Distributed Systems .

Strongexperiencedesigningandimplementing REST APIs , GraphQL APIs , Microservices ,and Event-Driven Architectures .

Hands-onexperiencedeployingandoperating Kubernetes and containerized applications inproductionenvironments.

Strongknowledgeof CI/CD Pipelines , Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) , DevSecOps ,and Automated Testing practices.

Experiencewith Observability , Monitoring , Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) , Performance Optimization ,andoperationalsupport.

Provensuccessleading Technology Modernization , Cloud Transformation , Automation ,and Engineering Productivity initiatives,includingadoptionof AI-powered development tools .

Exceptional Leadership , Stakeholder Management , Communication ,and Strategic Planning skills,withtheabilitytoinfluencecross-functionalteamsanddrivemeasurablebusinessvalue.

Location expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $126,820.00 - $149,200.00
