Job Title: Software Engineering Manager
Location Requirements: On-Site (Salt Lake City, UT)
Job Type: Direct Hire
Role Overview:
You will lead a team of software engineers and QA professionals delivering secure, scalable applications supporting critical business capabilities. This hands-on leadership role involves coaching your team, improving delivery predictability, and partnering closely with product, architecture, and DevOps teams to ensure successful outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers and QA professionals
Partner with product and architecture to shape solution designs that are scalable, secure, and reliable
Drive execution across multiple initiatives, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and team capacity
Raise the bar on engineering practices across code quality, testing, security, and operational reliability
Promote automation and the thoughtful use of AI-assisted development tools to enhance speed and quality
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical delivery with business priorities
Required Qualifications:
8-10+ years of software engineering experience
3-5+ years of engineering leadership / people management experience
Proven success delivering across multiple concurrent projects and timelines
Strong coaching, performance management, and team-building capability
Solid technical background with experience contributing to architecture and key engineering decisions
Experience with cloud-native architecture and modern SDLC practices
