Job Purpose
: The Front Counter Sales clerk will provide a meaningful customer experience in a prompt and professional manner- exhibiting knowledge of our products and pairing the customer with the correct product.
Job Duties:
Handle counter transactions of in-store goods
Handling pre-payments for special order items that are not readily available on sales floor
Stocking shelves when needed
Making sure quotes are completed for special order items and ensuring order acknowledgement has been sent to and received by purchasing
Answering phones calls and emails to engage with customers and resolve any issues that may be presented
Problem solving to ensure customer satisfaction and accuracy
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
At least 2 years in a customer-facing environment (retail, hardware stores, etc.)
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Must have the ability to successfully alone under limited supervision or as part of a group
Must be able to work rotating Saturdays as needed
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical
