The Homeland Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Software Tester. The program delivers a comprehensive integrated mission control software tool combining custom code and integrated COTS products for a Department of Homeland Security customer.

Primary Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Strategy: Develop test plans, strategies, and test cases based on project requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.

Continuous Monitoring: Monitor CI/CD pipelines, test results, and system logs to identify issues, regressions, and performance bottlenecks early in the development process.

Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features and bug fixes do not introduce unintended side effects or break existing functionality.

Test Execution and Reporting: Execute manual tests, create/execute automated tests, record test results, and generate test reports to communicate findings to stakeholders and drive decision-making.

Defect Management: Identify, report, and prioritize software defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and validation of fixes.

Quality Assurance Processes: Contribute to the improvement of quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools, with a focus on increasing efficiency, effectiveness, and test coverage.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document and configuration manage test cases, procedures, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team through documentation, training sessions, and presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Up to 2 years of experience in Software Testing.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify root causes.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Must be able to obtain a Tier 2 Public Trust clearance.

Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualification:

Experience using Atlassian collaboration tools, such as JIRA, Confluence

Basic shell scripting knowledge

Pay Range:

Pay Range $50,700.00 - $91,650.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
