We are seeking aninitiative-taking and experienced Solar Engineer with strong Commercial skillsto join our team. As a Solar Engineer, you will design, develop, and overseephotovoltaic (PV) and battery systems for residential, commercial, andutility-scale projects.
Your responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to:
System Design:
·CreateSolar PV array layout.
AC,DC and communications cable path layouts
Single-linediagrams, schematics and blueprints using CAD software.
Batterysystems: appropriate load to back-up.
Equipment Selection:
Selectoptimal solar panels, inverters, and storage batteries.
·Selectappropriately sized cable wiring,
Selectappropriately sized switch gear and other electrical components.
Project Oversight:
·Guideinstallation teams
Investigatesystem performance (Quality Assurance)
Ensurecompliance installation is installed as per compliance.
Followingup on quotes (not lead gen but discussing the scope of service in detail withthe potential customer)
Candidates must have:
Bachelor’sdegree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
Proficiencyin AutoCAD OR Python, solar modeling software, and knowledge of localelectrical codes.
·Goodcommunication skills
Proficiencyin Word and Excel
Mustbe flexible and be able to work to tight deadlines.
Previousexperience in a similar role is essential
Theability to work autonomously and as a part of a team.
Beflexible and progressive in thinking and be able to action thoughts.
·Proficientskills in excel
Experiencein BESS, smart grids
·Experiencein near maps is a PLUS
