About this opportunity

Redpanda Data lists this Solutions Architect opportunity in austin, Texas. Review the employer’s description below for duties, qualifications and application requirements.

Job description

Redpanda is the first runtime and control plane for agent‑data interaction — a unified platform that combines streaming, SQL analytics, and intelligent connectivity with the governance layer enterprise AI agents need in production.

Built on infrastructure already trusted by Fortune 500 companies and fast‑growing startups, Redpanda enforces governance entirely outside the agent's data path, controlling what agents see, limiting what they do, and capturing a tamper‑proof record of everything they touch, so organizations never have to choose between innovation and control.

About The Role

Come and join our rapidly growing Customer Success Engineering team! As a Solutions Architect, you will help us ensure the success of Redpanda customers. This could range from running workshops with customers to getting them up and running on Redpanda products, and/or helping to architect a full end‑to‑end data streaming system with Redpanda as the core solution.

You Will

Spend time working with our products to build new partner or technology integrations, use cases, and automation capabilities with our customers

Be prolific in sharing content and best practices both internally and externally

Work alongside the Customer Success team to onboard new customers and work with existing customers to drive their success and excellence

Design and implement production‑ready streaming architectures that solve customer business problems and meet their performance, reliability, and scalability requirements

Partner with Redpanda product management, engineering, and support teams to solve customer challenges and improve customer experience

Identify and resolve technical barriers to production readiness, performance optimization, and expanded use cases

Build tooling, automation and other technical assets that can be re‑used by multiple customers to improve their Redpanda experience

You Have

7+ years of prior experience in a customer facing role working hands on with distributed systems technologies similar to Redpanda

Experience with creating blog content and/or documentation on the production use cases and solutions

Outstanding consulting skills, able to easily context switch between internal teams and customers, from code to whiteboard, from support to engineering

Comfortable developing/prototyping solutions in many different languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, and Javascript)

Experience working with distributed systems such as Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, Cassandra, etc

Good understanding of security technology (TLS, SASL, Kerberos, OAuth, OIDC etc.)

Knowledge of different cloud vendors (AWS, GCP and Azure)

An understanding of the fundamentals of high availability and disaster recovery and are able to design HA/DR solutions to meet customer needs and constraints

Passion for working on complex technical problems and have a strong understanding of modern data infrastructures and streaming technologies

Strong ability to build relationships with our partners, customers, and open‑source users

Collaborative spirit and enjoy making sure each team gets customer feedback to provide great customer experience

Flexibility to travel to meet customers, attend events or conferences (up to 25%)

Experience with Kubernetes or Ansible a plus

U.S. base salary range for this role is $175,000 - $206,000, not including bonus and/or commission. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. As a remote‑first company, we strive to consider each candidate's job‑related skills, location, experience, relevant education or training to determine individual base salary. Your talent partner will share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
