Amazon Robotics transforms customer experiences through innovative robotics and software solutions that impact millions of deliveries worldwide. The Solutions team creates CAD and FC Map deliverables for new launches, retrofits, and expansion projects across Amazon's NACF fulfillment network.
Role Overview
As a Solutions CAD Designer, you will create and modify detailed CAD drawings from sketches, layouts, and engineering notes to support robotic fulfillment operations. You'll conduct interference and quality control checks, generate output files for partner teams, and collaborate with engineers on design standards and documentation.
Key job responsibilities
Solutions CAD Designer Creates And Modifies Detailed Drawings Using CAD Hardware And Software From Sketches, Layouts Or Notes Provided By Engineering. Contributes Design Modifications To Facilitate Installation Of System. Checks Drawing Plots Versus The Project Input For Correctness And Conformance To Standards. Works With Engineers Regarding Model Accuracy, Design, Drafting Standards And ECN/ECR Documentation. May Work With System Management Including File Maintenance, Backup And Storage.
As a Solutions CAD Designer You Will Create or modify CAD drawings based on input provided by design engineering
Conduct interference checks on CAD drawings
Perform quality control procedures on CAD drawings
Generate output files for partner teams to consume

About The Team
Solutions Deployment creates CAD and FC Map deliverables for POR (New launches), retrofit, and expansion projects across Amazon's NACF ARS network. Our team provides scope documentation, manages project deliverables in coordination with Deployment and Programs teams, and handles KTLO (support) activities for FC maps and floor performance. We ensure timely, high-quality delivery of technical documentation while maintaining design standards and enabling cross-functional collaboration across multiple stakeholders to support Amazon's robotic fulfillment operations.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM field
Experience in CAD skills, including being capable of developing an integrated automation layout unassisted
Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
Experience with strong project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Experience with process design based on Lean Principles
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent
Experience scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Perl, Ruby)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
